Customization Process

From idea to delivered canopy — fast, controlled, and professional.

We’ve built a customization workflow that balances speed, print quality, and structural durability — without sacrificing human oversight. Here’s exactly what to expect when you order a custom canopy from Shade Dist.

How It Works

Step 1: Explore & Configure

Start by selecting the canopy tier and size that fits your use case, then choose your frame construction and print method.

  • Choose your canopy level: Commercial Cross Peak, Classic Cross Truss, or Promoteer Promotional Centerlok
  • Select your size and format
  • Choose your frame material (where applicable)
  • Select your print method:
    • Full-Color Dye Sublimation (best for gradients, photos, and full-coverage designs)
    • Silk Screen Printing (best for bold logos and simple marks)

Once your configuration is complete, add to cart, checkout, and create your account so you can track the project and upload artwork.

Step 2: Purchase & Create Your Account

After checkout, your order is tied to your account. This is where you’ll upload artwork, review progress, and keep everything organized for reorders.

Step 3: Submit Your Artwork

Upload your logo or design files through your account portal. Our team reviews every submission to ensure print readiness and clean placement.

Common file types: AI, EPS, PDF, or high-resolution PNG.

Tip: If you’re not sure what to upload, send what you have — we’ll guide you.

Step 4: Mockup & Approval

A Shade Dist. specialist will reach out by email or phone to confirm details and share a mockup for approval. We don’t print until you give the green light.

  • Review layout and logo placement
  • Confirm colors and print method
  • Approve before production begins

Step 5: Production Begins

Once approved, our team moves your design into production and begins printing your custom fabric components.

Split-Fulfillment Shipping = Faster Delivery

To get your custom canopy to you faster, we ship the heavy component (the frame) domestically, while custom-printed fabrics ship direct from our production facilities.

Frame Shipping (Domestic)

Frames ship from the closest of our 7 distributed warehouses for fast delivery.

  • Estimated delivery: 2–4 business days
  • Benefit: faster arrival for the heaviest component

Custom Fabric Shipping (International Express)

Your custom-printed fabrics are produced in our factories in China and Cambodia and shipped via express service.

  • Estimated delivery: within 1 week of ordering
  • Shipping method: overnight/express international

You may receive separate tracking numbers for the frame and fabric components.
